Play Golf
There are several excellent golf courses near by. Our favorite is the Silvertip 18 hole Championship course with fresh air and spectacular mountain views. Banff Springs historic course has some beautiful vistas.
Play at Festivals
Canmore has festivals almost every weekend. These include the Highland Games, Children’s Festival, Miner’s Festival, Canada Day Parade and Fire Works, Ice Climbing Festival. Banff’s Film Festival and Art Festival are fabulous. Enjoy music and the opera at the Banff Center.
Play at Fishing
Fly fishing is in the best possible location. Many fishermen and women come from International Destinations for the best fly fishing ever
Play at Biking
Rent or bring your own!. Road or Mountain bike with the most spectacular scenery in the whole “Switzerland of the North America’s” area. The Bow Valley Parkway and the summer trails of the Nordic Center are also very popular.
Play at Horseback Riding
Get a look at our Cowgirl and Cowboy culture on our trails thru scenic mountain, lake and river vistas.
Play on the Water
Take the Lake Minnewanka Boat Tours and see Devil’s Gap and hear the fascinating history of the area. Take out a canoe or kayak. Raft down the scenic river along passages suited for all ages and abilities. Visit the lakes in Kananaskis.
Nature Walks and Wildlife Viewing
Relax along the beautiful Bow River path. Watch birds and water fowl at play. Take the Cave and Basin boardwalk interpretive nature trails. Take in the flora and fauna at Sunshine Meadows in the spring and summer.

Enjoy Cascade Ponds on the Minnewanka Loop.
Play in the Cave
Grotto Mountain caves in Canmore provides an opportunity for older kids to experience a trip deep into the caves.
Play in the Sky
The Gondola rides in Banff and Lake Louise provide breathtaking view of the majestic mountains of the Canadian Rockies.
Play on the Ice
Visit the Columbian Icefields. Take the 90 minute Brewster Snocoach tour.
Play at History
Enjoy the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies or the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum in Banff.

Canmore and Banff have an abundance of World Class Restaurants! You will never forget the fabulous dinners.
Play at Winter Sports
Four excellent downhill ski slopes are nearby. These include Norquay (15 minutes), Sunshine (30 minutes), Lake Louise (45 minutes) and Nakista (1988 Olympic downhill, 45 minutes). Canmore’s Nordic Center hosted the 1988 Olympic cross country championships and more recently the World Cup. Dog sledding is a great family fun outing.
